The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) was founded in 1955 as a professional, scientific, non governmental organization, comprising the national Associations of five continents in addition to 7 Affiliate Societies, representing some 20,000 neurosurgeons worldwide. The current President is Yong-Kwang TU (Department of Neurosurgery, National Taiwan University Hospital.
